What you'll do:
- Create and maintain scalable, robust AWS architecture.
- Developing data models and managing ETL processes with DBT.
- Collaborate with technical teams on modern architectures (Microservices, REST APIs, DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway).
- Develop API-based, CDC, batch, and real-time data pipelines for structured and unstructured datasets.
- Ensure solutions are repeatable and scalable across the organization.
- Work with development teams to gather requirements, develop solutions, and deploy them.
- Provide robust solution documentation for a wide audience.
- Collaborate with data professionals to bring applications to life, meeting business needs.
- Prioritize data protection and cloud security in all deliverables.
- Ensure the best possible performance and quality of high-scale data applications and services.
- Collaborate with the development team and build individual components into the enterprise data platform.
- Work in a team environment with the product, QE/QA, and cross-functional teams to deliver a project throughout the whole software development cycle.
What makes you a great fit:
- 8+ years of experience as a Data Engineer on the AWS Stack.
- Proficient in DBT for data transformation and modeling.
- Expertise in AWS services including CloudFormation, S3, Athena, Glue, EMR/Spark, Redshift, DMS, DynamoDB, Lambda, IAM, EC2, SQS, and SNS.
- Skilled in data orchestration and integration with Airflow and Airbyte.
- Programming experience with Python, Shell scripting, and SQL, DBM.
- Experienced in developing and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
- Capable of designing and implementing scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and optimizing data processes and infrastructure.
- Knowledgeable in data security and compliance practices using IAM and KMS.
- Excellent communication skills for articulating technical concepts and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Perform the Peer Code Review and, perform code quality analysis, and associated tools end-to-end for Prudential's platforms.
