What you'll do:

• Core OS Concepts: Proficiency in Linux is a must; familiarity with macOS is a plus.
• OS Level Debugging and Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve issues at the operating system level.
• Scripting: Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, and optionally Go; familiarity with AppleScript (osa script) is advantageous.
• Cloud Services: Experience with AWS services including EC2, RDS (MySQL preferred), S3, Route 53, Elasticache (Redis), Managed Service for Kafka, and EKS.
• Observability: Implementing and managing infrastructure and application level monitoring and alerting solutions.
• Version Control: Proficiency with Git for versioning and collaborative development.
• Configuration Management: Experience with Ansible (preferred) or any other configuration management tools.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Understanding of Terraform for infrastructure provisioning (basic proficiency).
• CI/CD: Hands-on experience with setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Jenkins pipelines or GitHub Actions.
• Networking: Basic understanding of networking principles and protocols.
• Containerization and Orchestration: Proficiency in containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes).
