What you'll do:

• Leadership and Strategy: Lead and mentor the engineering team, promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement engineering strategies that align with the company’s vision and business objectives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders (Product, Operations, Marketing, etc.) to define the technical roadmap and ensure successful project execution.
• Provide thought leadership in architecture, technology selection, and product development.
• Project Management:
• Oversee the planning, prioritization, and execution of technical projects.
• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality products, balancing technical debt, feature development, and performance optimization.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and resource constraints.
• Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and allocate resources efficiently.
• Team Development:
• Recruit, develop, and retain top engineering talent, fostering professional growth through coaching, mentoring, and feedback.
• Create an environment where engineers thrive, emphasizing collaboration, ownership, and accountability.
• Establish performance metrics for team members and conduct regular performance reviews.
• Technical Excellence:
• Drive best practices for software development, including design reviews, code reviews, and testing strategies.
• Ensure the engineering team follows proper security, compliance, and scalability protocols.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends, applying them when appropriate to enhance product offerings.
• Lead the continuous improvement of software development processes and tools.
• Budget and Resource Management:
• Oversee the engineering budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively.
• Partner with HR and Finance to manage team capacity and optimize hiring and project costs.

What makes you great fit:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with 5+ years in a leadership role (Engineering Manager, Senior Manager, or Director of Engineering).
• Proven track record of leading large-scale software projects and teams.
• Expertise in modern software development practices, architecture, and agile methodologies.
• Strong experience with cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure), microservices, and distributed systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to make high-level decisions while still being hands-on when necessary.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
