What will you do:

• Data Architecture Design: Develop and maintain the enterprise data architecture for healthcare systems, ensuring it aligns with business goals and regulatory requirements.
• Create and document data models, data dictionaries, and data flow diagrams.
• Data Governance: Implement and enforce data governance policies and practices, ensuring data security, privacy, and compliance with healthcare industry regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
• Data Integration: Design and oversee the integration of various healthcare data sources, including Electronic Health Records (EHR), claims data, patient data, and other healthcare-related data.
• Data Quality and Master Data Management: Establish data quality standards and processes to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of healthcare data.
• Implement master data management strategies to maintain critical data entities.
• Data Analytics Support: Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to provide the necessary data infrastructure and support for analytics and reporting projects.
• Technology Evaluation: Stay current with emerging technologies and assess their suitability for healthcare data management, ensuring optimal use of tools, platforms, and databases.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, data science, healthcare professionals, and executives, to gather requirements and ensure alignment with data architecture.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data architecture, data models, and integration processes.

What makes you a great fit:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science).
• Proven experience as a Data Architect, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• In-depth knowledge of healthcare data standards, such as HL7, ICD-10, CPT, and SNOMED.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance, including HIPAA.
• Proficiency in data modeling tools, database management systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL), and ETL processes.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Project management experience is a plus.
• Experience with healthcare payer data model
• Able to define and design payer domain specific data models – Member, Billing, Claims, Provider and Benefits
• Experience with data warehousing, data lakes, and cloud-based data solutions.
• Experience with cloud based databases – Snowflake, Data Bricks
• Knowledge of relevant data architecture best practices and industry trends.
• Ability to work with and lead cross-functional teams.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data quality.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing healthcare technology and data landscape.
