What will you do:

• Backend Development : Design and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Python and frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Architecture Leadership : Lead architectural decisions, ensuring secure and well-designed backend solutions aligned with industry best practices.
• Team Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Frontend, DevOps, and Product teams, for seamless feature integration and delivery.
• Team Mentorship : Guide and mentor backend engineers, promoting code quality, efficient development practices, and design patterns.
• System Reliability & Security : Ensure backend reliability, availability, and security, implementing monitoring and alerting systems for continuous observability.
• Performance Optimization : Identify performance bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues, and recommend improvements.
• Code Quality : Conduct code reviews, uphold coding standards, and enforce best practices in backend development.
• Continuous Learning : Stay updated on emerging backend technologies to assess their potential for our infrastructure.

What makes you a great fit:

• 9+ years of experience in backend development with Python, including a lead or senior role.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and leading code review processes.
• Prior experience in team leadership, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Languages & Frameworks : Advanced proficiency with Python and Django; familiarity with Flask or FastAPI is a plus.
• Database Skills : Strong skills in relational databases like PostgreSQL and MySQL, with experience in NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Redis.
• Cloud & DevOps : Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and DevOps practices, including CI / CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• API Design : Strong understanding of RESTful API design; familiarity with GraphQL, gRPC, or other modern API frameworks.
• Software Engineering Principles : In-depth knowledge of OOP, design patterns, scalable architecture, and best practices in backend development.
• Problem-Solving : Proactive in debugging, performance optimization, and implementing robust solutions.
• Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
