Job Description
What you will do
- Quality Ownership: Drive a quality-focused culture across the organization. Set strategic quality standards, define quality metrics, and implement processes to deliver outstanding products
- Leadership and Mentorship: Mentor and manage performance of a team of 10-15 QA Leads across multiple product pods, ensuring they have the tools, training, and support necessary to excel
- Strategic Quality Planning: Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive QA strategies, automation frameworks, and performance testing to align with product goals and customer expectations
- Matrix Collaboration: Foster strong collaboration between QA Leads and Engineering Managers, ensuring seamless communication and quality ownership at the pod level.\Process Improvement: Identify and lead the adoption of best practices in testing, automation, and quality standards.
- Develop strategies to streamline and scale QA processes across the organization.
- Risk Management and Mitigation: Proactively identify quality risks and implement mitigation strategies. Address quality gaps and work towards creating a robust, stable product environment.
- Metrics & Reporting: Establish key performance metrics for quality and testing efficiency. Generate regular reports for senior leadership on quality trends, issues, and improvement initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Support teams to incorporate feedback and ensure product reliability.
What makes you a great fit:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 10+ years of quality assurance experience with at least 5 years in a managerial position, ideally in a B2B SaaS environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in automation tools, testing frameworks, and DevOps practices. Familiarity with HR platforms or multi-product environments is a plus.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated success in building and scaling QA teams, with strong capabilities in team mentorship, motivation, and performance management.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail, with a passion for identifying and breaking down product issues to unearth quality gaps and ensure product robustness.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex quality requirements and ensuring alignment across departments.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Highly analytical, proactive, and solution-oriented, with a strong commitment to achieving and maintaining high-quality standards.
