What you'll do:

• Responsible for leading skilled product engineering teams to drive initiatives.
• Work with Product, Design and Quality teams to deliver high quality products & drive efficiency using metrics driven approach.
• Be a hands-on problem solver, with strong emphasis on people management, mentoring, fostering innovation and being a champion of culture principles.
• Responsible for strategizing hiring, projecting new requirements and retention of software engineering team.
• Continuously refining and optimizing high quality software engineering practices - from planning, architecture/design, execution, code reviews, scaling, performance, metrics, logging, and monitoring essentially the entire software development lifecycle.
• Lead agile teams with approximately 20 multi-skilled engineers.
• Enable career progression of your teams through continuous and constructive feedback, career planning, learning pathways.

• Managed teams that have shipped and operated large scale, highly available distributed systems.
• Have 8+ years of software development experience in the software engineering team with a product company. With a minimum of 2+ years of experience leading one or more teams.
• Experience working in software development with one or more of the following programming languages : Java, JavaScript, Go, Scala, Python, C/C++.
• A strong quantitative and analytical background.
• Ability to give constructive criticism/feedback.
• Ability to be a good mentor/coach.
