What you'll do;

• Provide leadership and technical guidance to ensure the development of resilient, scalable SaaS applications.
• Drive alignment and clarity across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines.
• Elevate the engineering and operational standards across teams by setting the bar for best practices.
• Cultivate customer empathy to ensure that the solutions exceed customer expectations.
• Own and implement the vision for the overall architecture, applying best practices, and design patterns, and continuously simplifying the system landscape.
• Take ownership of defining, measuring, and reporting operational metrics.
• Independently design and develop high-quality features that are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve complex technical issues.
• Drive continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and operational excellence
• Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Mentor and guide junior software engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, advocating for their adoption where appropriate.
• Contribute to OpenGov’s Engineering culture of innovation, leading-edge technology adoption and quality

What makes you a great fit:

• BA/BS in a computer science-related field or equivalent experience required.
• 10+ years of experience in developing highly scalable cloud-native applications.
• Proficiency in C# and .NET Core.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, ReactJS or other modern UI frameworks
• Strong knowledge of data structures, database concepts, algorithms, and observability.
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture.
• Azure OR  AWS cloud experience
• API Integrations, GraphQL, Kafka experience
